Visa cost calculator
Pick a route and who's moving. See each government fee with its official source, the total in your money and theirs, and room for the costs only you can price.
How this works
For each route we read the government's own fee pages: the visa, the residence permit, the residence card and any charge every applicant must pay up front. Each fee shows its source and the date we checked it. We've priced 103 routes in 33 countries so far. Where we couldn't confirm a fee on an official page, we say so and link to the page to check.
- Government fees (official). Fees for the main applicant, each family member and the household, as the official page sets them. Some consulates charge their own country's citizens a different fee, so the passport you pick matters.
- Documents from home (official). Police certificates and apostilles from the US, Canada or the UK, at the fee the issuing office publishes.
- Your own estimates. Translators, insurers and couriers set their own prices, so we don't state a number. Add your quotes and we total them apart from the official fees.
- Exchange rates. We convert at 2025 average exchange rates (World Bank). Consulates often charge in local money at their own rate, so expect small differences.
Fees checked 1 Nov 2026. Fees change, often each January. Check the official page before you pay. General information, not legal, tax or immigration advice.
